ایسی حالت جب بالوں کی جڑوں میں موجود چربی والے غدود کثرت سے رطوبت خارج کرتے ہیں اور یہ رطوبت بالوں میں موجود کیراٹن نامی پروٹین کی وجہ سے خارج نہیں ہوسکتی ۔ ایسے میں جلد پر موجود بیکٹیریا غدودوں پر حملہ آور ہو کر رطوبت کو چربی کے تیزابوں میں تبدیل کردیتے ہیں جس کی وجہ سے سوجن پیدا ہوجاتی ہے ۔
